About Three Arch Rocks

Three Arch Rocks sits off Garibaldi, Oregon, an outer-exposed rocky drop-off falling through depths from 0 to 55 feet. The rock structure holds Black Rockfish, which peak from April through August, alongside Lingcod that concentrate in February and March, while Chinook Salmon run strongest from June through September and Coho from June into October. Anglers work the salmon by trolling whole herring, spoons, and flashers over the drop, or by mooching cut-plug herring closer to the structure. Lingcod and rockfish respond to jigging metal jigs and swimbaits along the rock, with lead-head jigs and grub tails picking apart the ledges. Pacific Halibut move through from March to August and are taken by drift fishing herring, squid, and octopus across the deeper sections.
