Seal Rock is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Garibaldi, Oregon, where the bottom falls through depths of 0 to 55 feet. Chinook Salmon peak from June through September and Coho Salmon from June through October, both taken by trolling herring, spoons, flashers, or hoochies, with mooching cut-plug herring a supporting approach over the deeper edges. Lingcod hold on the rock through their February–March peak and respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, or lead-head jigs with grub tails. Pacific Halibut move across the area from March through August, worked by drift fishing herring, salmon belly, octopus, or squid along the sloping structure. Cabezon peak from April through June and take leadhead jigs and swimbaits close to the rock, while Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Leopard Shark round out the mix over the same broken ground.
