I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

Fritz Point is a mid-exposure sand flat off Anacortes, Washington, in DFO subarea 7, sitting in water that runs 10 to 30 feet deep. The flat holds a mix of salmon and bottomfish through the year, with Chinook Salmon peaking June through August and Coho Salmon running strong from June into October. Trolling with flashers, cut-plug herring, and trolling spoons covers ground across the sand for both species, while mooching cut-plug or whole herring works the same water at a slower pace. Pacific Halibut move through in the spring and early summer, peaking March through July, and drift fishing herring, salmon bellies, or squid along the bottom suits the depth and open sand structure here. Lingcod hold earlier in the year, peaking February and March, and respond to metal jigs and swimbaits worked near the bottom, with Pacific Cod, English Sole, and Pacific Sand Dab rounding out the resident bottom species.
