Eagle Point is a rocky drop-off in Bellingham's DFO subarea 7, with mid-range exposure and depths falling from 260 to 660 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their June–September peak and Coho Salmon from June into October, with both species taken on downrigger trolling and trolling using whole herring, spoons, hoochies, and flashers over the deeper water. The rock bottom supports Lingcod, which peak in the late-fall and spring windows and respond to jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits or drifting live greenling along the edges. Pacific Halibut move through from April to August and are worked by drifting herring, squid, or salmon bellies near the base of the slope, while Black Rockfish stack up over the structure through the summer for jigging with metal jigs and swimbaits. Pacific Cod and Spiny Dogfish round out the mix across the deeper contours.
