I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

Gooseberry Point is a rocky drop-off near Bellingham, Washington, in DFO subarea 7, where the bottom falls through mid-exposure water from 80 to 200 feet. Chinook Salmon peak here from June through September and Coho Salmon from June through October, with both taken by downrigger trolling and trolling flashers, hoochies, and spoons, or worked closer with mooched whole and cut-plug herring. The same drop-off structure holds Lingcod, which peak from November through February and again from March through June and respond to leadhead jigs with swimbaits and metal jigs along the rock. Pacific Halibut move through from April to August and are targeted by drifting herring, squid, and octopus over the deeper edges. Black Rockfish stack up from June through August and take metal jigs and swimbaits fished tight to the rocky bottom.
