I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

The Sisters Hump is a rock pinnacle in DFO subarea 7 off Bellingham, Washington, rising through mid-exposure water where depths run 100 to 325 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut through their April to August peak, Lingcod during the November to February and March to June windows, and Chinook Salmon from June to September, alongside resident Canary Rockfish, Widow Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Sablefish. Anglers work the halibut by drifting herring, squid, salmon bellies, or octopus across the base of the pinnacle, with leadhead jigs and swimbaits as a secondary approach. Lingcod hold tight to the rock and respond to metal jigs and bucktail jigs, or to live greenling and whole dead herring drifted through the structure. Chinook come to downrigger trolling with whole herring, spoons, hoochies, and flashers over the deeper edges, with mooching cut-plug herring filling in on slower passes.
