I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Liplip Point Hump is a rocky pinnacle rising from an outer, exposed stretch of DFO subarea 9 off Edmonds, Washington, with fishable depths running roughly 200 to 255 feet. The structure holds Pacific halibut, which peak from March through June, alongside lingcod that peak February through April, plus Pacific cod and a mix of rockfish including canary, darkblotched, rougheye, and Pacific ocean perch. Anglers targeting halibut work the rock with drift jigging using leadhead jigs and plastic swimbaits, metal jigs, or herring, and back that up with bottom bait fishing whole herring, squid, salmon bellies, or octopus. Lingcod respond to jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs over the pinnacle, with live greenling, herring, or sanddab and mooched herring as supporting approaches. Chinook salmon move through from June through August and take trolled flashers with hootchies, spoons, and cut-plug or whole herring, with mooching and metal jigs as alternatives.
