I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

Colvos Rocks is a mid-exposure rock flat off Port Townsend, Washington, in DFO subarea 9, where the bottom holds between 20 and 60 feet. The rocky structure draws Lingcod through their March-to-May peak and Pacific Halibut from March into July, while Black Rockfish stack up over the same ground from May through August. Anglers work the rock with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits for lingcod and rockfish, and shift to drift jigging with jigs, leadhead-and-swimbait rigs, or herring for halibut holding near the bottom. Chinook Salmon move through from June to August and respond to cut-plug or whole herring on the mooch, and Coho Salmon follow from June into September on trolled flashers, hoochies, and spoons. Copper Rockfish round out the summer, peaking June through September over the same broken rock.
