Clinton Ferry Terminal Dolphin Light D marks a rocky pinnacle in the inner protected waters of Marine Area 8-2 off Everett, Washington, where the bottom rises through depths of 0 to 85 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their June to August peak and Coho Salmon from July into October, both taken by trolling flashers, spoons, and cut-plug herring, with mooching and metal jigs working as backup. Lingcod concentrate on the rock from February to April and respond to metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, and drift-fished soft plastics. Black Rockfish work the same reef from March through August, with peak jigging on metal jigs and leadhead jigs with soft plastics, while Pacific Halibut move through from March to July for anglers drift fishing herring, squid, and octopus over the deeper edges. The pinnacle's rock and range of depth make it worth working the full water column as tide and season shift the fish.
