Lowell Point is a rocky drop-off in Marine Area 8-2 off Everett, Washington, where the bottom falls through mid-exposure water from roughly 260 to 660 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon at their peak from June through August and Coho Salmon from July into October, with both taken by trolling flashers, trolling spoons, and cut-plug herring along the edge, or by mooching whole herring closer to the fish. Pacific Halibut move over the deeper flats from March through July, where drift fishing herring, squid, or salmon bellies reaches them along the base of the drop. The rock structure also supports Lingcod, which peak February through April and respond to metal jigs, bucktail jigs, and leadhead jigs with swimbaits worked over the harder bottom. Black Rockfish, holding from March through August, take metal jigs and leadhead jigs with soft plastics fished through the same rock and depth changes.
