Sandy Point is a sand-bottom drop-off in Marine Area 8-2 off Everett, Washington, where the seabed falls away through 260 to 660 feet at mid-level exposure. Chinook Salmon peak from June through August and Coho Salmon from July through October, both taken by trolling flashers, trolling spoons, and cut-plug herring, with mooching herring a supporting approach along the edge. Pacific Halibut work the deeper sand from March through July and respond to drift fishing with herring, squid, or octopus over the drop. Lingcod hold on the structure with a February-through-April peak, best targeted by jigging metal or leadhead jigs, backed by live greenling or herring. The gradient here concentrates fish along the break, so working depth changes across the slope covers the species that stack at different levels.
