Neill Point is an outer-exposed rock drop-off off Tacoma, Washington, in Marine Area 11, where the bottom falls from roughly 260 to 660 feet. The steep structure holds Pacific halibut, which peak from March through August, alongside lingcod that turn on from March into June and black rockfish available year-round. Anglers work the drop-off with drift jigging for halibut, using leadhead jigs with plastic swimbaits, herring, or squid, while jigging with metal jigs and leadhead swimbaits accounts for lingcod and rockfish along the rock. Chinook salmon move through from June to September and coho from July into October, both taken by trolling cut-plug herring, flashers, spoons, or hoochies over the deeper water. Cabezon hold tight to the rock and take leadhead jigs with swimbaits or bucktail jigs, with the strongest window running from June through March.
