Paradise Point is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Ilwaco, Washington, where the bottom falls away through depths of 260 to 660 feet. Pacific Halibut peak here from March through August, while Chinook Salmon run strong in April and again from June through September, joined by Coho Salmon across those same late-summer months. Lingcod fishing holds up best in January and February, and Black Rockfish concentrate over the rock from April through August. Anglers work the halibut with drift fishing over the deep structure, presenting herring, salmon bellies, squid, or octopus, and switch to jigging with metal jigs and swimbaits for lingcod and rockfish along the drop. Chinook and Coho come to trolling with whole or cut-plug herring, flashers, and hoochies through the upper water column above the ledge.
