Golden Point Hump is a rocky pinnacle off Oak Harbor, Washington, rising through mid-exposure water in Marine Area 7, with fishable depth running from 30 to 90 feet. The structure holds a deep rockfish community—rougheye, darkblotched, sharpchin, and shortraker—alongside lingcod that peak in February and March and sablefish along the harder bottom. Pacific halibut work the spot from March through June, while Chinook salmon move through on their June-to-September window. Anglers target lingcod by jigging metal jigs or leadhead jigs with swimbaits over the rock, and drift jigging leadhead and metal jigs across the pinnacle produces halibut on the deeper edges. For Chinook, trolling flashers and spoons or mooching whole and cut plug herring covers the passing fish through summer.
