STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Dallas Bank is a rocky pinnacle off Port Angeles, Washington, rising through outer, exposed water at depths of 60 to 180 feet. The rock structure holds lingcod, which peak from January through April and respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs, or to bait fishing with live greenling, herring, and squid. Pacific halibut move across the bank from March through August, where drift fishing with herring, salmon bellies, octopus, and squid works the deeper edges. Chinook salmon fill the summer window from June through August, taken by trolling whole herring, spoons, flashers, and hootchies over the pinnacle. The mix of shallow rock and adjacent deep water lets anglers switch between jigging the structure and drifting the surrounding bottom as the tide shifts.
