President Point is a rocky drop-off in DFO subarea 10 off Seattle, Washington, dropping through mid-exposure water from roughly 170 to 430 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their July–September peak and Coho Salmon across a long June–October window, with trolling cut-plug herring, whole herring, flashers with hoochies, and trolling spoons working the moving fish. Lingcod concentrate over the rock from February to April, taken on metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, or bucktail jigs, while Black Rockfish stay active nearly year-round on jigged soft plastics and swimbaits. Pacific Halibut move through from March to August and respond to drift jigging with metal jigs or leadhead jigs tipped with herring along the deeper edges of the drop. English Sole, Pacific Cod, and Leopard Shark round out the bottom species using this ground.
