Comox Bar Range 1 is an outer-exposed sand drop-off off Comox, British Columbia, where the bottom falls away through a range of 20 to 120 feet. The spot holds Chinook Salmon through their June to August peak and Coho Salmon across a long May to September window, with both species best worked by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, or hootchies along the sloping contour. Lingcod stack up on the drop-off during their January to March and May to September runs, taking metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs worked close to the bottom. Pacific Halibut move through from March into July and respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits over the sand. Pacific Cod, Rockfish, and English Sole round out the mix across the deeper edges of the structure.
