STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Hump 2.7 km NW of Sentry Shoal is a rocky pinnacle rising from the outer, exposed waters off Comox, British Columbia, with depths running from 150 to 340 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through July, alongside Lingcod that fish well in January through March and again from May into September. Drift jigging with leadhead jigs, swimbaits, or metal jigs works the halibut over the rock, while bottom bait fishing with whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid covers the deeper edges. Lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs and swimbaits or to bait fishing with live greenling and squid tight to the pinnacle. Chinook Salmon move through from June to August and Coho from May to September, both taken by trolling herring, anchovy, hootchies, and spoons in the water above the structure.
