Campbell Bay Hump is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, rising from surrounding depths that run roughly 165 to 495 feet. Lingcod hold to this rocky structure with a peak from February through April, while Pacific Halibut work the deeper margins from March into August, and copper rockfish stay catchable across the full year. Anglers target lingcod by jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs over the pinnacle, dropping down to the same tackle or herring for halibut on the deeper drifts. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and respond to trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons, with Coho Salmon following from June into October on trolling spoons and cut-plug herring. The exposed setting and steep rock relief make jigging most effective when tide movement is manageable enough to hold contact with the bottom.
