Edith Point Hump is a rocky pinnacle rising from the Gulf Islands seabed near 48.8665, -123.2373, with mid-range exposure and depths running from 165 to 495 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from February through April, alongside Pacific Halibut that build from March into August across the deeper water. Rockfish species including Canary, Redbanded, Darkblotched, and Rougheye work the rock, while Sablefish hold down on the deepest ground. Lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, or leadhead jigs, and to bait fishing with live greenling, whole herring, or squid worked close to the pinnacle; halibut come to drift jigging with metal jigs or herring over the surrounding depth. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho from June to October, taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, or spoons through the mid-water above the hump.
