Walker Rock is an exposed pinnacle in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, rising over rocky bottom where depths run from 40 to 120 feet. The structure holds a strong groundfish population, with Lingcod peaking from February through April and Copper Rockfish available year-round, alongside Rougheye Rockfish, Canary Rockfish, Bocaccio, and Chilipepper. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August, while Pacific Halibut show from March to August. Jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, or leadhead jigs works the rock for Lingcod and Copper Rockfish, and bait fishing with live greenling, whole herring, or squid brings up the larger Lingcod holding tight to the pinnacle. Chinook are typically taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, or spoons over the deeper edges, and Halibut respond to drift jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, or herring across the surrounding bottom.
