STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Hump 1.3 km N of Expedition Islets is a rocky pinnacle rising from the outer exposed waters off Kyuquot, British Columbia, with depths ranging from 100 to 370 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from March through May and again from June through August, alongside Pacific Halibut through the March-to-August stretch and Chinook Salmon from May into August. A mix of Canary, Redstripe, and Silvergray Rockfish and Pacific Cod work the rock as well. Anglers target Lingcod by jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs over the pinnacle, while Halibut respond to drift jigging along the deeper edges and Chinook come to trolling with anchovy, herring, hootchies, or trolling spoons. Bottom bait fishing with whole herring, squid, or octopus adds a supporting option across the rock structure.
