Kon Tiki Island sits off Kyuquot on British Columbia's outer coast, marking an exposed rock drop-off where the bottom falls from roughly 330 to 1,310 feet. Chinook Salmon peak here from May through August and Coho Salmon from June through September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, or hootchies along the edge, with mooching cut-plug herring a productive alternative. The steep structure holds Pacific Halibut through the March-to-August window, worked with drift-jigged leadheads and swimbaits over the deeper rock or bottom-fished herring and squid. Lingcod stack on the same rock through spring and again from June into August, responding to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs dropped tight to the drop-off. Canary Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Sablefish round out the deeper catch across the site's broad depth range.
