Yeo Islands Hump is a rock pinnacle in DFO subarea 17-12 off Nanaimo, British Columbia, rising from outer, exposed water with depths running 190 to 490 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from March through April and again from May through August, alongside Pacific Halibut, Canary Rockfish, Pacific Ocean Perch, and Sablefish. Chinook and Coho Salmon move through from June to September. Anglers work the pinnacle for Lingcod with jigging using metal jigs, swimbaits, or leadhead jigs, while Pacific Halibut come on drift jigging with leadhead jigs and soft plastics, metal jigs, or herring across the rocky bottom. Salmon respond to trolling with anchovy, herring, flashers with hoochies, or trolling spoons over the deeper edges of the hump.
