Bleach Rock Hump is a rock pinnacle rising from the outer exposed waters off Port Hardy, British Columbia, with depths ranging from 25 to 670 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from May through August, alongside Pacific Halibut that run strongest from March through August and a mix of deepwater rockfish including Rougheye, Darkblotched, and Shortraker. Chinook Salmon peak May through August and Coho follow from June through September, with Pacific Cod present through the season. Lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, or leadhead jigs tipped with soft plastics over the rocky crown, while Halibut come to drift fishing with whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid worked across the deeper flanks. Salmon anglers troll anchovy, herring, spoons, or hootchies through the upper water column over this pinnacle.
