Daphne Point is an outer-exposed rock drop-off off Port Hardy, British Columbia, where the bottom falls through depths of 260 to 660 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon and Lingcod from May through August, Coho Salmon from June into September, and Pacific Halibut across a long window from March to August. Chinook run well on trolled anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies over the edge, with mooching herring or anchovy a productive alternative on the deeper contours. Lingcod hold tight to the rock and respond to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs worked along the drop-off, while Halibut come to drifted whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid across the deeper flats below. Canary Rockfish, Pacific Cod, Sablefish, and Pacific Ocean Perch share the same rocky depths, adding variety to the bottom fishing.
