Distances are in a straight line, not by water.

Frankham Point Hump is a rocky pinnacle in the outer, exposed waters off Port Hardy, rising through a depth range of roughly 30 to 610 feet. The steep rock structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through August, alongside Lingcod that turn on from May through August and a mix of Canary Rockfish, Darkblotched Rockfish, and Pacific Cod. Halibut are worked with drift fishing over the deeper flanks using whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid, while jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits covers both halibut and the lingcod that hold tight to the rock. Chinook Salmon move through from May through August and Coho Salmon from June through September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, flashers, or hootchies along the current lines the pinnacle creates. The wide depth spread lets anglers target bottom species on the pinnacle itself and salmon in the water column above it.
