Ledge Point is an outer-exposed rock drop-off off Port McNeill, British Columbia, where the bottom falls from 260 to 660 feet along a hard structural edge. Chinook Salmon hold here through their May to August peak and Coho Salmon run from May into September, with both taken by trolling whole herring, anchovy, trolling spoons, or flashers with hootchies over the ledge. Lingcod stack on the rock during their late-winter and summer windows, peaking February to March and again from June through September, and respond well to jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs along the drop. Pacific Halibut work the deeper flats below the break from May to August, where drift jigging leadhead jigs with plastic swimbaits or metal jigs covers the bottom effectively. The exposed setting and steep contour also hold Canary Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Sablefish through the deeper reaches of the profile.
