Possession Point is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Sooke, British Columbia, where the bottom falls away through depths of 40 to 180 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their June to August peak and Coho Salmon across a longer June to October window, with Pink Salmon moving through as well. Trolling dominates the fishery here, working anchovy, herring, trolling spoons, and hootchies along the edge of the drop-off, while flashers add draw for Coho higher in the column. Anglers targeting Chinook also mooch cut-plug or whole herring and jig metal near the bottom where the rock breaks the current. Bucktailing with bucktail flies takes surface-oriented Coho when they push shallow over the exposed face.
