STRUCTURE
Drop Off
Outer Exposed

Sooke Bluffs is an outer-exposed rock drop-off in DFO subarea 20-5, off Sooke on the southwest coast of British Columbia. The structure falls from roughly 35 feet down to 130 feet, with a hard rock bottom that shapes how current moves along the face. Its open exposure means the site sits directly in the reach of outer-coast swell and wind, and the drop-off concentrates water movement as the tide runs across the bluff. The steep transition from shallow to deep water gives anglers a compact zone to work along the contour. Depth changes here are abrupt, so reading the break between the shallow shelf and the deeper edge is central to fishing the spot.
