Food Islets is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Ucluelet, British Columbia, where the bottom falls away through depths of roughly 330 to 1310 feet. The steep structure holds Chinook Salmon peaking May through August and Coho Salmon from May into September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, or spoons along the edge, with mooching cut-plug herring as a supporting approach. Lingcod concentrate over the rock from March to May and respond to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs worked near the bottom. Pacific Halibut move through April to August and are targeted by drift jigging with leadhead jigs and soft plastics or metal jigs across the deeper contours. Black, Quillback, and Copper Rockfish hold tight to the same rocky relief, with Black Rockfish strongest May through September and jigging productive throughout the water column.
