Hump 1.5 km SW of Miller Reef is a rocky pinnacle in the outer exposed waters off Ucluelet, British Columbia, rising through depths of 65 to 210 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from April through August, alongside Lingcod at their best from March through May and a mix of Canary Rockfish, Silvergray Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Sablefish over the rock. Anglers work halibut with drift jigging using leadhead jigs and soft plastics or metal jigs, while lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs and swimbaits along the pinnacle's harder edges. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho from May into September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and trolling spoons. The exposed setting and steep relief concentrate fish across the full depth range, making it a productive stop for bottom species and passing salmon alike.
