Miller Reef is an exposed rock pinnacle off Ucluelet, British Columbia, rising through waters that run 60 to 180 feet deep. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, best from April through August, alongside Lingcod that peak March through May and year-round Quillback and Copper Rockfish. Anglers work the pinnacle with drift jigging for halibut, using leadhead jigs with soft plastics or metal jigs, while Lingcod and rockfish respond to jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastic swimbaits over the rocky bottom. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho from May into September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons across the reef. The outer-exposed position and rock relief concentrate fish along the structure, making depth control over the pinnacle the key to consistent hookups.
