STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Leeson Rock is an exposed rocky pinnacle off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, rising through depths of 15 to 155 feet on the outer coast. The structure holds Chinook Salmon from April through August and Coho Salmon from May through September, with both species most productively targeted by trolling anchovy, herring, hoochies, or spoons across the pinnacle's edges. Lingcod concentrate on the rock through two windows, February to April and June to August, and respond to jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, or swimbaits worked close to the bottom. Pacific Halibut move through from May to August and take drift-jigged leadheads and swimbaits over the deeper flanks, while Canary Rockfish, Copper Rockfish, and Pacific Cod round out the resident bottom species. The vertical rock and wide depth range let anglers move between shallow salmon lines and deeper jigging without leaving the feature.
