Distances are in a straight line, not by water.

The Brockton Island Hump is a rock pinnacle in the outer, exposed waters off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, rising through a depth range of roughly 65 to 1,000 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from February through April and again from June through August, alongside Pacific Halibut in their May-to-August window and Chinook Salmon that run strong from April through August. Lingcod hold tight to the rock, and jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs dressed with soft plastics, or swimbaits works the pinnacle's steep faces and ledges. Halibut sit on the deeper flats around the base, where drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits covers ground as the tide moves bait across the structure. Chinook are worked higher in the water column, with trolling anchovy, herring, hoochies, and trolling spoons the primary approach, and Coho follow through the summer into September on similar trolled gear.
