Distances are in a straight line, not by water.

Pilley Shoal Hump is a rock pinnacle rising from the outer-exposed waters off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, with depths ranging from 185 to 455 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from February through April and again from June through August, alongside deepwater rockfish including Rougheye, Shortraker, and Darkblotched, plus Sablefish across the deeper contours. Pacific Halibut work the bottom here from May through August, while Chinook Salmon (April through August) and Coho Salmon (May through September) pass over the pinnacle through the warmer months. Lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs with soft plastics, or swimbaits over the rocky crown, and Halibut come to drift jigging with leadheads and metal jigs along the deeper margins. For salmon, trolling anchovy, herring, hoochies, and trolling spoons covers the upper water column above the structure.
