Billard Rock is an exposed offshore pinnacle rising from rocky bottom off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, with fishable depths running from 125 to 370 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peaks from May through August, and Lingcod, which peaks February through April and again June through August, alongside a deep-water mix of Rougheye Rockfish, Darkblotched Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Sablefish. Chinook Salmon move through the area from April to August and Coho from May to September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hoochies, or spoons over the pinnacle. Halibut anglers work the deeper flanks with drift jigging using leadhead jigs, swimbaits, or metal jigs, while dropping bottom bait such as herring or octopus into the same range. Lingcod hold tight to the rock itself, where jigging metal jigs and leadhead jigs with soft plastics reaches them at the shallower end of the depth range.
