Brown Rock Hump is a rocky pinnacle rising from the outer, exposed waters off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, with depths spanning roughly 145 to 420 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from February through April and again from June through August, alongside Pacific Halibut in their May-through-August window and Chinook Salmon that run strongest from April into August. Anglers work the pinnacle for Lingcod with metal jigs, leadhead jigs paired with soft plastics, and swimbaits, while bottom-oriented drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits reaches Halibut holding along the rock. Black Rockfish concentrate here from May through September and respond to jigging with metal jigs and soft plastic swimbaits over the same structure. Chinook and Coho Salmon, the latter peaking May through September, are taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hoochies, and trolling spoons across the exposed water above the hump.
