Rowley Reefs is a rock pinnacle off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, sitting in outer exposed water with depths running 60 to 180 feet. The structure holds a strong bottomfish population, with Lingcod peaking February through April and again June through August, and Black Rockfish concentrating from May through September alongside Blue, China, and Copper Rockfish and Cabezon. Anglers work the pinnacle for Lingcod primarily with jigging using metal jigs, leadhead jigs with soft plastics, and swimbaits, supplementing with bait fishing whole herring, live greenling, or squid over the rock. Black Rockfish respond to the same jigging approach with metal jigs and soft plastic swimbaits through the summer months. Chinook Salmon move through April to August and Coho May through September, both taken by trolling herring, anchovy, hoochies, and spoons across the exposed water above the reef.
