About Robson Rock

Robson Rock is an exposed offshore pinnacle off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, rising from rocky bottom through a depth range of 0 to 270 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from February to April and again from June to August, alongside Pacific Halibut through the May to August window and a mix of Canary, Rosy, and Darkblotched Rockfish over the rock. Chinook Salmon run strong from April to August and Coho Salmon from May to September in the surrounding water. Anglers work the pinnacle for Lingcod with metal jigs, leadhead jigs and soft plastics, or swimbaits, and drift jigging with leadhead jigs and metal jigs takes Halibut off the deeper flanks. Trolling anchovy, herring, hoochies, and spoons covers the salmon over and around the structure.
