STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

McNiffe Rock is an outer-exposed pinnacle off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, rising over rocky bottom with depths ranging from 15 to 155 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their April to August peak and Coho Salmon from May into September, with trolling anchovy, herring, hoochies, and spoons working the water column over the pinnacle. Lingcod concentrate here in the February to April and June to August windows, taking metal jigs and leadhead jigs with soft plastics dropped tight to the rock. Pacific Halibut move onto the deeper margins from May through August, where drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits covers the bottom. Canary and Copper Rockfish, along with Pacific Cod, round out the mixed catch across the rocky relief.
