About Arrowhead Point
Arrowhead Point is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Monterey, California, where the bottom falls through depths of 260 to 660 feet. The rock structure holds Lingcod, which peak from November through January, again from March through May, and once more in September and October, alongside Black Rockfish and Blue Rockfish that run strongest from spring into early fall. Anglers work the drop-off with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs for Lingcod and Black Rockfish, while Blue Rockfish respond to bait fishing with shrimp flies, squid strips, and anchovies over the same rock. California Halibut move through from March to September and are taken by drift fishing live anchovies, sardines, and shiner perch, and Chinook Salmon peak from March through July on trolled anchovies, spoons, and flashers. The steep contour and exposed position concentrate fish along the structure edges across this wide depth band.
