STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Inner Protected

Hump 0.9 km SE of Lime Point is a rocky pinnacle rising from an inner, protected stretch of San Francisco Bay near the Golden Gate, with depths running from 40 to 80 feet. The structure holds a range of rockfish, including Bocaccio, Copper, and Canary, alongside Lingcod that peak in February through March, August through October, and December. California Halibut move onto the surrounding flats and edges from April through August, while Chinook Salmon pass through from April into September, with Coho also present. Anglers work the rock with jigging using metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs for Lingcod, and drift live anchovies, live shiner perch, or midshipman over the softer bottom for Halibut. Chinook are targeted by trolling whole anchovy, spoons, hoochies, and flashers through the passing schools, with the protected exposure keeping conditions workable across the tide.
