About Indian Creek

Indian Creek is a protected inshore corridor near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with a sand bottom running 10 to 15 feet deep. Common Snook peak here from May through July, and live bait drifting with live shrimp, live pilchards, live mullet, or live pinfish works the sandy channel edges effectively. Gray Snapper peak in June and July, Yellowtail Snapper from April through July, and Mutton Snapper from March through June, with bottom fishing and drift fishing with live shrimp, cut bait, and live pilchards covering all three. King Mackerel arrive in the January-to-March window and respond to slow trolling with live pilchards or live blue runners. Crevalle Jack round out the mix and work through the corridor alongside the snook and snapper.
