About Goggle-Eye Reef
Goggle-Eye Reef is an artificial reef off Jupiter, Florida, within the Southeast Region of Florida's Atlantic state waters. Its structure holds a mix of reef and pelagic species, including Crevalle Jack, Mutton Snapper peaking April through June, and Yellowtail Snapper peaking May through August. Gray Snapper and Common Snook both peak May through July, while King Mackerel run strongest in March and April and again in October and November. Bottom fishing with live pilchards, cut bait, or squid works the reef for Mutton and Gray Snapper, and chumming and flatlining with cut ballyhoo or silversides draws Yellowtail up off the structure. Slow trolling live goggle eyes, blue runners, or pilchards along the reef edges targets King Mackerel during their spring and fall windows.
