About Ande Reef
Ande Reef is an artificial reef off Jupiter, Florida, within the Southeast Region of Florida's Atlantic state waters. The structure holds a mix of reef and pelagic species, with Mutton Snapper peaking from April through June and Gray Snapper and Common Snook both running strongest from May through July. Yellowtail Snapper peak from May into August, while King Mackerel show in two windows, March through April and again October through November, and Crevalle Jack round out the roster. Bottom fishing with live pilchards, cut ballyhoo, or squid targets the mutton and gray snapper tight to the structure, and chumming and flatlining with cut ballyhoo or silversides draws yellowtail up off the reef. For kingfish, slow trolling live goggle eyes, blue runners, or pilchards around the reef's edges is the standard approach.
