About East Munyon Island Hump
East Munyon Island Hump is an exposed offshore rock pinnacle off Jupiter, Florida, rising from the surrounding bottom in 75 to 85 feet of water within the Southeast Region of Florida's Atlantic state waters. Yellowtail snapper peak here from May through August, joined by gray snapper and common snook from May through July and mutton snapper from April through June. King mackerel move across the hump in two windows, March through April and October through November, while crevalle jack round out the mix. Chumming and flatlining with cut ballyhoo, silversides, or glass minnows draws yellowtail up off the rock, and bottom fishing with live pilchards, squid, or cut bait works the pinnacle's base for mutton and gray snapper. Slow trolling live goggle eyes, blue runners, or threadfin herring around the edges of the structure targets kingfish during their spring and fall runs.
