About Kelsey Park Reef
Kelsey Park Reef is an artificial reef in Florida's Southeast Region state waters off Jupiter. Snapper action builds through late spring, with Mutton Snapper peaking April through June, Gray Snapper peaking May through July, and Yellowtail Snapper holding strong from May into August. Common Snook also peak May through July, while King Mackerel move through in two windows, March to April and again October to November, and Crevalle Jack round out the mix. Anglers working the reef structure rely on bottom fishing with live pilchards, squid, and cut bait for Gray and Mutton Snapper, and they chum and flatline cut ballyhoo or silversides to pull Yellowtail Snapper up off the structure. When kingfish arrive, slow trolling live blue runners or live goggle eyes around the reef's edges puts baits in front of them.
