About Singer Island Hump
Singer Island Hump is a rocky pinnacle rising off the outer, exposed coast near Jupiter, Florida, with depths running from 80 to 180 feet across its rock bottom. Yellowtail snapper peak from May through August, and anglers work them by chumming and flatlining cut ballyhoo, silversides, or glass minnows up the current line off the structure. Mutton snapper peak from April through June and gray snapper from May through July, both holding tight to the rock, where bottom fishing with live pilchards, squid, or cut bait puts offerings in their path. King mackerel move across the hump in March and April and again in October and November, and slow trolling live goggle eyes, blue runners, or threadfin herring over the pinnacle targets them. Common snook peak from May through July, and crevalle jack roam the same water, where live bait drifting with pilchards, mullet, or pinfish connects with the snook.
