About Southern Blvd Bridge Reef
Southern Blvd Bridge Reef is an artificial reef in Florida's southeast Atlantic state waters near Jupiter, where placed structure draws both resident bottom fish and passing pelagics. Common Snook and Gray Snapper peak from May through July, Yellowtail Snapper hold strongest from May into August, and Mutton Snapper peak earlier, from April through June. King Mackerel move through in two windows, March–April and October–November, while Crevalle Jack round out the mix around the reef. Bottom fishing with live pilchards, cut ballyhoo, or squid works the structure for Mutton and Gray Snapper, and chumming and flatlining with cut ballyhoo or glass minnows pulls Yellowtail up off the reef. For Snook, anglers rely on live bait drifting with live pilchards, live mullet, or live shrimp, and slow trolling live blue runners or goggle eyes targets King Mackerel during their seasonal runs.
